We have been invited by Disney Theatrical Group to pilot this brand new show.
In the bustling monster city of Monstropolis, two top scarers discover that one tiny human child might change everything they thought they knew about fear.
Inspired by the beloved animated world of monsters, laughter, and friendship, this exciting musical adventure brings audience favorite characters to the stage in a fun-filled theatrical experience for the entire family.
WHO
We're looking for performers ages 8-16 to help bring this production to life! All roles are open to performers of all backgrounds and identities. We aim to cultivate a diverse and inclusive community both onstage and off. Some roles may be double cast.
WHERE
All rehearsals and performances will be held at JCC Metrowest: 760 Northfield Ave, West Orange, NJ.
WHAT TO PREPARE
Auditioners are asked to submit a video performing a brief song of their choosing (1 minute or less) that shows vocal range and personality.
*NOTE: If you are auditioning for Matilda, JR, we are happy to consider your audition for that production for this production as well! Just click "submit your audition" and select "I am auditioning for Matilda!" and you will be able to complete the rest of the audition form without a video.

Auditions:
Video submissions will be due by 9:00pm on Sunday, September 20
Callbacks:
Wednesday, September 30 (by appointment)
Potential Pre-Intensive Rehearsals:
Monday-Thursday December 14-23 (5:30-8:30)
Intensive Rehearsals:
December 27-31 (9:00-4:00)
Tech Rehearsals:
January 3-7
Performances:
January 8-10 (with a possible extension January 15-17)
Only certain roles may be called for the pre-intensive rehearsals and these rehearsals will not be every day. All actors are expected to attend the full intensive period (limited conflicts will be accepted as long as they are disclosed upfront). Some roles may be double cast.
Participation Fee
There will be a participation of $595
Includes: 50+ hours of instruction, professional production photos, and a chance to be a part of a fully staged, fully designed musical.
We will never turn a performer away due to financial need. If cost is a prohibitive factor for you, please let us know this on your form and we will work with you to discuss scholarship and payment plan options available as needed.
